The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey (IEIS) ordinary General Assembly was held on April 16, 2014.

In the distribution of tasks that took place in the Board meeting following the General Assembly, Nezih Barut, was again elected to the position of Board Chairman and Ali Arpacıoğlu was again assigned as Deputy Chairman.

In his speech at the General Assembly, Board of Directors Chairman Nezih Barut said; “This is our 50th anniversary. First of all I’d like to say that I feel honored  to serve as Board Chairman in a such rooted, long-established association. Since its establishment, our Association has been carrying on its works to make our country have strong a Pharmaceutical industry. Needless to say, our Association has a big role and contributions on our industry’s structural developments and changes at last 50 years.”

Barut added: “If the Turkish Pharmaceutical industry is supported with the correct strategic planning, the industry will use its exprience for improving R&D know-how and getting into the position of  one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of the world.
