Turkish Pharmaceutical industry was introduced at CPhI Worldwide

CPhI Worldwide this year took place in Paris, France on October 7-9. With the organisation of Turkish Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Turkish Pharmaceutical Exporters and Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency situated at same stand where information both about Turkish pharma industry and Turkish Pharmaceutical Exporters were given. During ChI, Pharma Insight Briefings were made by industry representatives and official authorities. Secretary General, Turgut Tokgöz also made a presentation entitled “The Turkish Pharma Market” at “Dynamics of Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry as a Global Player”  panel.

At Turkey panel Hakkı Gursoz, Vice President of Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency made statements: “ As per WHO agreement, Everyone has the right to an adequate standard of living for the health. Leaning into this idea and with human-centered  approach our country’s health system was analyzed and the system’s inadequeacies was determined at first years of 2000s. Accordingly the Health Transformation Program which focuses on these deficiencies  has been set up and put into practice by Ministry of Health. With this program our public’s health and satisfaction have increased at last 12 years. Today our most essential duty is moving towards 2023 goals by protecting existing values. Also Turgut Tokgoz, Secretary General of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey: “The Turkish pharma industry has a century-old culture of production, state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure, qualifed human resources and large production capacity. In its modern and technologically advanced facilities, the Turkish pharma industry meets the requirements of developed markets. Our products are exported to more than 150 countries. Transforming our industry into a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and exporter and enhancing R&D capacity are two main goals for our Association.”

Utku Bayramoğlu, Advisor at Prime Ministry of Turkey, Investment Support and Promotion Agency also gave the information regarding investment opportunities in Turkey and Turkish pharma industry.
