2013 Bio International Convention

BIO International Convention which is regarded as one of the world's largest events and held every year in the United States, took place this year in Chicago. Turkey participated for the second time at the convention, with an official delegation that is chaired by the Minister of Health Mehmet Müezzinoğlu and includes 14 firms, 5 official and 2 non-governmental organizations. Our union also attended to the Turkish Pavilion that was inaugurated by our Minister of Health. At the booth, Turkish Pharmaceutical Exporters Platform and our union were introduced.

 

At the convention which brought together thousands of institutions and organizations active in the field of biotechnology and provided significant opportunities to develop bilateral relations and to establish various connections for investment partnerships, The Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu said: “We want that our country's pharmaceutical industry to become a strong center in its region that has a say in pharmaceutical industry, that is capable of producing strategic drugs and high-tech manufacturing in medical technology”.
