Our Association, in collaboration with Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will get together at a meeting entitled "Turkey - The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Workshop” on 1-2 April 2013 at the Sheraton Maslak Hotel in Istanbul.
The GCC, which includes United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman as its members, is established for the purpose of providing co-ordination and integration among the member countries and for providing similar applications for the legislations in the fields of the economy, commerce, finance, customs, communication, education and culture.
There is a Central Drug Licensing Department that operates under the Executive Board that is composed of Health Ministers from the member states of the GCC. Licenses received from the organization, is valid for six member countries.
The GCC as well as the official authorities and the company representatives from its member countries will be attending to the meeting which is an important opportunity for increasing the exports to the Gulf countries and the networking for business collaboration. As part of the meeting agenda, companies from our country and the GCC member countries will be provided to make one to one business meetings.
